GH3 When did you order your GH3?

I just sold my 60D + lenses :)

That means that probably tomorrow, I will buy the GH3. Very excited. There a shop not far from me (Netherlands) that has them in stock... If only I could make up my mind about which lenses to buy :D

I finally placed my pre-order yesterday (Dec 12th), but today "succumbed" to a used GH2 body in 9+ condition from B&H. They dropped the price on it from $539 yesterday to $399 this morning and I couldn't pass it up. Makes 3 bodies for me.

I want the GH3 for higher ISO and faster bitrates but I can still do a lot with the GH2 so I may cancel the GH3 for now and just save that money. Makes for some thought.
 
I can't believe it's almost a month later, and there is no word on when major retailers (USA) will be getting more in stock. I really want the no-payments/interest for 12 months, but my patience is wearing thin.

Apply for an Amazon or B&H card, then buy it. They are being shipped as they come in for those that pre-order. I bought $1350 because I bought it from a store in canada and had it shipped here to US (Florida).

GH2 with hack provides an excellent image and for $499 is an Amazing deal, me personally though I chose to upgrade to the GH3 as I feel this camera stock is comparable to Hack image quality, but more so for the better feel of it.

A larger camera with 1080p 60fps and a beautiful display was really worth it for me. Stock 50Mbps is excellent for this camera. I know once it gets hacked amazing things will be done. GH3 feels more solid and just works great. I personally like to stay on top of technology, some people feel it's worth the cost, others don't.

The $399 GH2 body came in, looks almost brand new (not a mark or blemish on it) and I've been using for stills and a bit of video yesterday and today. After thinking on it my decision was to let my GH3 pre-order stand, and it may be a month or two or even longer but that's OK. I've now got 3 GH2 bodies to work/play with for now.
 
One of the main reason's I'm going with the GH3 is the video capabilities. I am ready to replace my XH A1, and wanted a new photo camera as well. The GH3 fills both those gaps. I also do a lot of nature shoots in less than idea situations, so the weather sealed body is important. I've thought about the GH2, but I'd really rather just keep waiting for the GH3.

I wish there was some way of knowing if Newegg was getting them in and just shipping to earlier pre-orders, or if they just haven't gotten any yet. I should have read up on the GH2 pre-orders before pre-ordering the GH3. It's a learning experience for the GH4 I guess! ;)
 
Please can someone tell what's the difference between GH3 & GH3A, I am looking for PAL version with 25p & 50p, do they have both format in single camera or its an choice for the region ? And where I can order these PAL version from ?
 
I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the GH3A is in reference to the lens it comes with. This seems to be the naming convention they have used on everything else. I believe all versions of the GH3 support PAL with the MOV format.
 
Amazon briefly had a note on the product description page saying that the GH3's would be shipping in January, but it seems to have been deleted in the past week. I have had an order in since December 8 with no updates on availability from them..
 
For what it's worth, I pre-ordered on November 7th from NewEgg. I'm not sure what the queue looks like if you "pre-ordered" after the launch, but it felt like a really long wait for me. I have a shoot scheduled for Monday, so I'll brag/post some shots after that.
 
I ordered mine at the end of October, and just received an email from Amazon that it should arrive next week.
 
Okay, so I gotta say... I LOVE my GH3. My big issue though, is the WiFi features seem flawed at best. Anyone else having issues? I can get it to work with Lumix Link, but I get errors when trying to send to my laptop or Picasa. I'll open a new forum if no one knows.
