Getting ready to shoot some table top. I have a lot of Canon lenses but no Macro lenses. I used to have my favorite Nikon 105mm f/2.8 Micro that I loved but I sold it off because I rarely used it.
Do any of you use extension tubes, diopters or split diopters to shoot tabletop? Not shooting insects or really small things but photos in frames, jewelery, small personal objects so
I need to get a little closer than most of my lenses minimum focusing distance. What's your favorite way to shoot table top with the C200/300 MKII as far as Canon lenses and getting perhaps 8-10" away
for most subjects? I can rent a macro lens but the FOV and ultra shallow DOF on a S35 imager and a 60-100mm Macro lens is seemingly a negative for this shoot, I am thinking I may go wider and close instead?
That would point me toward extension tubes, reverse rings or lens diopters?
