What's your favorite movie involving aliens?

When I think of alien movies I don't think of Star Wars or Star Trek or any movie that is set in space. It doesn't seem 'alien' when you are in space. My mind gravitates to films like 'Encounter of the Third Kind', 'ET', or 'Paul' where everything happens on Earth.

So what are your favorite 'alien' movies?

Brother From Another Planet
The Thing '82
They Live
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (all of them!)
Predator
Aliens
The Arrival
Night Of The Creeps
Dark City

note: The Avengers is this weekend and has an Alien invasion in it somewhere I hear, so...

Agree with all of the above.

Some of these are really good, others just really fun:

Alien Raiders, awesome indie film. Check it out, not just good for the budget but good in its own right.
The first half of Enemy Mine was good enough to forgive the second half (which wasn't really that bad)
Quatermass and the Pit (or was that a mini-series?)
A bunch of bad ones after the MST3K treatment not worth mentioning individually
The Last Starfighter (space I know but it was very earth-centric)
Evolution
Earth Girls are Easy
Outlander (spaceman vs alien AND vikings, what's not to like?!)
District 9
Flight of the Navigator...."compliance!"
Repo Man
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull.....bwahahaha, no.

Dude! Alien!
Predator
The Last Starfighter & Flight of the Navigator (Both epic childhood movies)
District 9
Enemy Mine

Plenty of others, but these i dont mind watching again..and again.

I was wondering how long it would take Keaton to plug his script. I think I had Post # 11 in the pool.

Back on topic:

ET
Close Encounters
Signs
The Thing
Alien & Aliens
Predator
too many to mention...

Alien(s)
HHGttG (sure the books are way better, but there's still some pretty hilarious movie alien species)
Galaxy Quest (guilty pleasure)

Prometheus.

Nah, Alien tops my list. Probably followed by District 9. I think Prometheus is gonna replace D9, though, for a tight second to Alien. I thought Aliens was a pretty good movie, but I saw it before Alien, and frankly it just doesn't compare. Maybe #6 or 7 on my list, idk.
