What is a good adapter?

hey everyone. I'm buying a DSLR soon (looking to be a T2i but if funds permit, it may be a 7D)

now, I have some old lenses but I don't know the type of mount. attached are some pictures of said lenses and I was wondering if anyone could help me decipher the mount and if there is an adapter out there (and how much) so I can use these on my DSLR?

I know that they worked on my old Pentax camera.

One is a Sun 1:4.5 85.210mm
One is SMC Pentax-M 1:2.8 40mm (pancake)
and one is a SMC Pentax-A 1:2 50mm

I'm guessing that the M and A are the mount type. but does anyone know of any reasonably priced adapters so that I can use them on my Canon?

The reason I don;t know much about them is because they were my dad's old lenses which went to his old film camera which is now, regretfully, broken.

Both the Pentax lenses are the same mount: Pentax K (also known as Pentax PK). The "M" and "A" are simply lens series designations (not different mounts). You can get a simple mechanical adapter to use these on a Canon EOS camera. There are some reports of certain Pentax lenses causing problems (lens actuators clashing with the electrical camera contacts, lens element shroud protruding too far), but this is only with full frame Canons (such as the 5DII) -- the 7D and 550D/T2i are APS-C crop sensor cameras, so that should be all right.

Don't know anything about the Sun lens (an independet maker?), but if it went on the original Pentax SLR I assume it's K mount too?

I believe it's K-mount. it fits on the old camera.

so, would something like this work? http://shashinki.com/shop/shashinki...version-adapter-ring-p-2001.html?currency=USD

Also, it's mainly for the pancake lens. I loved that thing. no experience with camera's before I got this thing and I could pull of some very nice shots with it. I don't have any anymore. and the lenses haven't really been cleaned in almost 20 years so they probably aren;t as good as I remember (I didn't know about clean lenses back then. and I haven;t gotten around to cleaning them now that I do know the importance) BUT they were nice shots in my eyes.
