what brands of lenses work with no adapter

one more question if you guys dont mind.Do all lenses and mount ,25mm or less will show vignetting on the gh1? im thinking of getting a zoom lens , lets say its 17-35mm, the range between 17-25mm will that show vignetting?

The Nikon 17-35mm f2.8 is a beautiful lens, covers the 35mm full frame and I have used extensively on RED ONE with excellent results.

But the panasonic 20mm will give me 40mm right? I need wide angle for moving images ;-)
Plus I like the pancake form!!! Just what I need for my special work...

youre welcome! I already tried a lot of glasses and adapters and am coming more and more to the conclusion that the lumix lenses are the most useful for now. Only special looks and effects and different bokehs are a plus with adapted lenses. I havent found my main fast wide angle yet....400$ is a LOT for that pancake!!

Thanks for the answers Pix. I decided to order a Tokina Nikon mount 10-17mm and Novovlex adapter.

I should also add that some of the new AF lenses don't have a aperture ring and controlling the aperture becomes another issue that can be overcome with difficulty, unless special adapters are brought into play.

here is a tricky one for me..I have found this lens at a local place for a good price
its called meteor 17-69mm in a m42 mount , its suppose to fit on a 16mm k3 camera..now,sorry if this sounds dumb, but lets say i have a nikon adapter to gh1 already, can i buy a m42 to nikon adapter and make this lens work? or is this one of theses lenses i need to special fit with different adapters..thanks again!

Thanks Ydgmdlu. How about this lens guys, what type of adapter do i need to fit a M39 Lens for enlargers on a gh1?thanks again!

There are M42>micro4/3 adapters, but that Meteor lens is designed for a 16mm camera, with an image diagonal of ~12mm, half of the Panasonic sensor. It has been documented that some of these lenses might work with the GH1, with a possibility of severe vignetting, especially at the wide end. You could give it a try.
