C100: What batteries are you using?

I can confirm on the Swit batterys NOT showing the exact time next to the battery icon. But they last longer than the small included Canon anyway and I can power other stuff with it too.

The Swit website is awful. No way to find the right model battery for your camera. I might get one to power the camera and Ninja 2 if their is a way to do this via the power tap.

Erik, we stock most of the SWIT batteries, follow the link
While we really are not in the battery business (we manufacture 2x and 4x battery chargers), we offer some batteries to our customers more like a convenience thing. Our favorites are SWIT as they are smartly designed and well built. Also, SWIT has an office in USA, that provides great customer support.

Thanks! Very helpful. Do you carry the D-Tap cable for the Swit battery that works with the Atomas Dummy D-Tap adapter battery? Any idea how long the battery would last powering both the Ninja and the C100?

Thanks!

We have the cable in this section
As far as the run time, I do not have the power consuption numbers for the devices, follow here where there is a simple formula given for you to calculate. Btw, SWIT batteries (unlike the no name ebay batteries) actually deliver charge in WH as on their label.

I'm reviving this thread since I'm in the market for another battery or two for my C100. I'd like to hear how people are liking their Swit or even the Wasabi batteries now that it's been several months since this thread started. Do they still hold their charge as well as Canon batteries do? My aftermarket Canon LP-E6 batteries die quickly compared to the OEM batts. Wondering if the Swit batts have the same kind of issues.

Got two of the bigger Swits. Had them for almost a year now, I think.

Can run for an entire busy day on one battery usually.

No loss of capacity, as far as I'm aware. You don't get the time-left estimate, but that's never proved to be an issue, as you still get a regular battery icon representation of available power, plus usual warning if it's running low.

Would we buy again if we get another C100 unit? Yes.

Ben.

Reviving this thread. Anyone using the Swit S-8845 with an Atomos product have the cable type they're using and where they got it?

Yet more reviving of this thread. I contacted Texas Media Systems about this and they contacted Swit. They make a battery cable for the Swit battery to the P-Tap Atomos dummy battery. Just received them all today and charging the batteries up. Will be testing these Swit batteries and cable with the C100MII and Shogun tomorrow.

tried this recently. The whole set up lasted no more than an hour. Useless, then.

I have had the two Canon batteries mentioned on the first page for nearly two years. I shoot a lot, and have only changed batteries once during a day. One of the things I appreciate about the Canons, besides the long operating time, is they maintain the charge forever. Two months ago I charged both - got on an airplane to San Antonio four weeks later. On arrival, when I checked the batteries they were both still fully charged. Small thing, but nice.
