What are you listening to now ?

For some reasons, "Million Scarlet Roses" (written by a Latvian songwriter Raymond Pauls in late 1960's and becoming a mega hit in the Soviet 1980's) became hugely popular in the Far East.

As a rule, I dislike new music... of course, if that new music is kinda like music from decades ago, exceptions can be made.....

Being largely oblivious to pop culture of any kind, only found out about this whippersnapper a few months ago. Liking his style and the arch of his career, seemingly more grounded from what was initially a distinctive style that seemed more a created affectation (but hecka fun to try and play)

supposedly spent a concert-free 2020 working a cattle ranch, which arguably seems more worthwhile :D

Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio at the mic.

Ronnie actually sounds better than the "previous singer", at least, on on NIB and Iron Man.

For those who like oddities. Deep Purple's only known MKIV concert film was from their tour dates in Japan. Unfortunately, their guitar player Tommy Bolin injected heroin into his arm and mostly appeared on stage as decoration. Being a guitar driven band, it sounded terrible. Tommy OD'd a year later at 25 and the band split up until MKII reunited in 1984 during the metal boom.

This recording was made about a year earlier in Long Beach, where Tommy, who was recruited on his reputation at James Gang to replace Ritchie Blackmore, was in fine form. The gentleman posting the video combined the audio from Long Beach and the video from Rises over Japan. There are a few sync problems but overall it came off reasonably well.

(Catching up with posts. Took a couple weeks off again to try and get more work done(on my CGI backlog stuff I mean). DejaVue??? Have I already posted that song??? I don't think so... he looks familiar though???...weird. hehe.)

Perfect for what I wanted to hear right now. I really like the style(song & audio[in my earbuds right now]). Thanks for the link to it.

//I shouldn't say this with a belly full of wine at 6am so I guess I better say it anyways then lol because it cracked me up-> That line "...see what them racket boys can do." I for some reason, well, first thing that came to mind, by 'racket', I just assumed it was referring to the mob which I couldn't figure out how that fit into the song. I just clued in finally...'Tennis' rackets lolllll. That is too good I say to myself. Jeeez my brain is wired up kinda funny lol.

Tyler Childers - Long Violent History (Lyrics)

Chatting: Standing at a crosswalk yesterday waiting for the green to cross. Started a brief chat with a lady that came up. She said she's had a rough life. Retired now. Her father fought in WW2 with the Hasty P's.
A local regiment here. It's interesting how just saying hi to a stranger sometimes can lead to little moments like that. :)

Known some friends for about a year now and made a video with them using this song. Now it makes me think of them.
