Hohner Clavinet was the name in ancient times. The Rhodes and the Wurlitzer pianos. B3 organs ofcourse. C3's...:) Great sound on them.

:) eh?

A bit chatty for me at 6am. I just wanted to hear him play again.

//Now I'm getting drunk. Herbi Hancock and Chick Corea were the names back then, I think I still have thier double live L.P. Had them or years. Gone now I think. -Beers? ha.

//A couple days later: When I'm in the right mood for this kind of music it's very impressive and relaxing. I have to be in that particular mood to listen to it (as opposed to Jazz, Funk, Rock, BlueGrass ect) so when the timing is right it's an outstanding piece of work to listen to. :)

I used to think that I was special, that I was a music lover. But over time, communicating with other people, I realized that I am the same as many others. That my tastes are multifaceted. I love classics, but I also love post-hardcore. I love techno, but I also love rap. And each music belongs to a different activity. On a run, I can listen to Eminem and Drake. While working in the garage (using my wife's gemini die cutter) I can listen to ARTBAT and Fatboy Slim. Sitting on the porch of my house and drinking beer, I can listen to Tchaikovsky. And I realized that this is normal for me.

Do you have the same tastes or do you only listen to one kind of music?

But right now I'm listening to Fatboy Slim in Brighton (I think it is the best set)

Great live show from 1985 - Last in Line, Rainbow in the Dark, Man on the Silver Mountain, Long Live Rock-n-Roll, Hungry for Heaven, etc.

With Vivian Campbell on guitar, Jimmy Bain on bass and Vinnie Appice on drums.

Maybe this is better titled “What golden-oldies are you revisiting lately?”.
I.M.O I think the title of the thread is sufficently self explanatory but I hear what your saying.
Older music is what influences musicians that go on to create original work in later years. Learning from the greats is always a good thing.

...Do you have the same tastes or do you only listen to one kind of music?...
I try to listen to as many styles as I can. It can be very time consuming too. Keeping an open mind when exploring unfamiliar music (for example, maybe early tribal music from unfamiliar cultures) I think is sometimes required.

The new album from The Weather Station is getting alot of attention in recent days.
(Just a very quick listen this morning so I'll have to explore more later.)
2 Mellow Songs:
The Weather Station - Robber

Phoebe Bridgers - I Know The End (Seth Meyers Live Performance)
---
I'm in a rock mood today though so a YT search for "ultimate indie playlist" gave me plenty of results. Later today I may update this post with something in that area. Back later.

Alright. Most are recent.
(Out walking today for some more groceries and some wine and passed by a bus stop bench with a little kids pink mitten on it and a little pink platic toy gun on the ground beside the bench. Just one of those images. :))

Bayor97 Ft King Monada-Bomme Ke Bosso (Official Music video)

Loocky Charm - The Wave [Official Video] #ROCK 2021

The Pretty Reckless - And So It Went (Official Music Video)

...and one for me. It's not actually true at the moment but still funny...
Flesh and Blood

==========-Cheers.

Dead tonight so just to be the asshole that I am, a couple of my faves of all time. I love ya.-Cheers.

In all fairness...(I just mean the one off the Masque LP.)

//Our bass player at the time '76 only had one 8-track tape in his car. That was it. So everywhere we went I heard that LP for about a year or so. I was 17yrs old. -Burned it into my head. Dave and Nancy Finkle. :)

Little David here was just 3 yrs old when we were in Mexico. He doesn't remember being down there. I sure do. His dad Dave was our bass player and his mom Nancy ran the snorkel shack down there. Just seems surreal right now. He looks just like his dad. I'm so proud of him.

That would be him on bass, just like his dad, although little Dave also does percussion ofcourse.

A few bands after listening to some LP's at chevys on Vaughn live tonight. Link at bottom of page. Great guy.
These bands have newer posts but I'm choosing to keep the running time to within 5 min each vid.

KISSIN' DYNAMITE - I Will Be King (2017) // Live // AFM Records

KISSIN' DYNAMITE - Six Feet Under (2012) // Official Music Video // AFM Records

Audio captured is crappy but you get the idea:
Burning Witches "Open Your Mind" beim Full Metal Holiday 2018

And the man with 15,000+ L.Ps (I thought he had 40K L.P's) https://vaughn.live/chevy .

I've been on a bit of a synth bender lately. This is a new artist I've been enjoying:

Leonid Bortkevich, the lead singer of the Soviet era folk-rock band Pesnyary, passed away yesterday at 71.

The Birch Sap

And the classic live performance from 1972.

And one of the band's oldest clips "Alesya" (in Belorussian). With a wah-wah pedal, no less.

A lip sync from the 1976 Song of the Year, "Belarus".

A montage of "Aleksandrina", with the original soundtrack.

This one I had posted before, with my Facebook friend Lyuda Isoopova.

Pesnyary was a local band with a huge national following. Their concerts were always sold out. I saw them twice. Now, 40+ later, became acquainted with some of the band members a little. Sounds of my youth.

PS. Bortkevich was married to the gymnastics great Olga Korbut and spent a decade in the US, 1990-2000.

I have also been on a synth trip lately. Specifically the artist Danielle Johnson, aka “Computer Magic”.

This may be too pop for most, but she does it well, I think. This track reminds me of the band Garbage:

One more. All sort of synth layering here:
