What are you listening to now ?

Pink Floyd Rocks. I prefer my 80's Thunder DVD, but hey man, I'm there with ya.

Locked and Loaded by Jackyl

next up is A Dustland Fairytale by The Killers...say what you want about The Killers...this song is so cool.

Reminds me of the ol ACDC a bit. 80's rock feel. Even Gun's can drift to that side a bit sometimes, or used to, uhhhmmm.

I asked my nephew last week what he liked listening to. I was expecting something new, ya know, but he couldn't think of anything. Nothing. Wow. 19 yr's old and he has no idea of what bands he likes. Wow.

So, for all you <25'rs out there, tell me, what's happening in your music world, cause otherwise I don't have a clue. A lot of good bands out there, but you tell me, who's rocking right now? I used to like Mad at Gravity, I know, boo me off the stage, so, you tell me, wus up mutherfkr? lol. Cmon man, give a shout out and I'll listen to it.

//Oh yeah, Avril is still kickin it up. I laughed at her latest response to the poparazzi or whatever about her fighting with her boyfriend. She said something like " I don't know what the big deal is, that happens every Saturday night in Napanee except the Fat Lady singing is your wife." Lol. That a girl.

i'm 32, and a father of a 3 year old girl, so i have no clue what a 19 year old would like. but i could do some math, because i mostly listen to stuff from when i was around that age....i think once your 21 or so, you like what you like, and you will always like it, even if you follow trends...we all have fallbacks/guilty pleasures.

Kate Miller-Heidke has been in my head lately, kinda girly music, but anyways...

Thursday night is the one night of the week that I treat myself to music. This last Thursday it was Connie Francis, Debbie Reynolds, Diana Ross, James Last, Mantovani, Percy Faith... the classics sound so much better on modern equipment.

:beer:Thanks Blain, Yeah Holly played down on Queen Street here in TO for awhile, the ol jazz strip, and I remember her saying she could not get 10-30 people into the bar, and Bamn, they finally got the respect. They never talked about he 'Aftewards' stuff, they just kind of mentioned, the ol days, of playing for 3 or 4 peopl down on Queens, ya know.

Yeah, She kicks it out, and always has, ya know. She had it for years, too many drunks to pay attention. She had it, the whole band, had it. What a beautiful piano player, and a senstivive bass player who knows where he has to be at the right time. What a great trio.

Lol. Oh boy...-Cheer's.

//Hey Thanks Connors. Were we still fighting? lol. I forgot. Drop in man, anytime. Have a beer, pick a fight, whatever, it's all good man.

Love Holly Cole. She is a great interpreter of other people's songs as well.

Been on an 80s One Hit Wonder kick ever since VH-1 ran that damn series. Loaded up my iTunes and have been really digging it...

1. New Order - Perfect Kiss 12" Remix
2. The Church - Under The Milky Way
3. Alannah Myles - Black Velvet
4. General Public - Tenderness
5. J.J. Fadd - Supersonic (I can't believe how bad Fergie rips off this song on all of her crap)
6. Swing Out Sister - Breakout
7. Boomtown Rats - I Don't Like Mondays
8. Dexys Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen
9. The Dream Academy - Life in a Northern Town
10. Edie Brickell and New Bohemians - What I Am
11. Madness - Our House
12. MARRS - Pump Up The Volume (U.K. 12")
13. Marshall Crenshaw - Someday, Someway
14. Mary Jane Girls - My House
15. Neneh Cherry - Buffalo Stance
16. C'est La vie - Robbie Neville (GREAT Music Video from Peter Care)

Sorry, just am digging the 80s cheese. Even all of those synths I used to hate are sounding so bad they sound good again. Roland Juno 106s all of the way!
