What are you listening to now ?

I had a few beers this afternoon at the bar and learned today this "kid" that I've gotten to know over the past few years, spent 7 years in Iraq (military).
He claims he's told me that a "hundred" times haha, but no, others I think.
Anyways, really great guy. I swear to God I did not know that. Now some things make sense in hindsight.
F'n strange world sometimes.Sheesh.
:) Cheers.

Brian May in here as well:

Same song. Nice lyrical graphics in this one. -Cheers.

---------------------------------

I was actually just jokingly singing this lyric tagline quietly to myself for fun, took my own advice and typed it in YT to see if "that" one has already been done 10X already too.
Close actually. Huh. Haha. Maybe a subconscious thing. (My version was more bluesy. No-one cares Gordy. Shut up. Hahaha) :)

Closer:

B.Adams: His new album is right on. Nice to hear.
Another: I'm diggin it.

//end. :) Happy Halloween.

I am curious. Would anyone mind or care if I had linked some 1930's Soviet and/or German military and/or political matches?

They're infused with the regimes propaganda, some obvious, some more subtle, but have nonetheless artistic merit and historical significance.

Meanwhile - over the weekend there was a Klezmer festival in Minsk and I sort of know some people there and those who went there from the US.

So, some Klezmer music's greatest hits.

And to finish with more uplifting 7:40

And naturally

When I think of Russia I think of this song performed by Anna Netrebko and Dmitri Hvorostovsky who died much too young.

I might have uploaded that one a few years ago. I did some Hvoro's clips back then.

Performer most associated with "Moscow Nights" was a great baritone and a crooner deluxe Vladimir Troshin (1926-2008), who was a top star in the mid-50's through late-60's. (notice there are no sound effects here)

And here's Troshin with a rare cover of the "Falling Leaves".

Here's with a "Night conversation" (soundtrack to a popular Soviet film, with Stas Lyubshin and Jeanne Bolotova)

"The Morse Code", about the northern explorers.

"The sound of accordion".

A "Night rail car" (or tram)

And a more swinging tune.

Another sad ballad

...but the links aren't available in my country soooo...

I remember them. :) Note to self->Maybe I should start up another facebook page and post all my tunes there....Nahhhh. f-FB. :)
I posted one of thiers many pages ago of a live radio cast "before" they became this "corporate" abomination (posted below) and I mean that in a, well, just sad to see them not being themselves i.m.o.
-update: They're live performances are real so no worries. Corporate videos can be off-putting these days sometimes as Johnette Napolitano has well documented. All's good. :)

Somebody give me a "Remedy". I'm outta here but then you already knew that anyways hahaha. -Cheers folks.
Not a great singer but a great entertainer (in this video).

//Here's a little drunk story for ya. I saw these guys in T.O with a friend. After the concert, on our way home while stuck in traffic, I could here this guy screaming from the sidewalk 'f-u' at someone. (3-lane traffic stall). After around 3 shout-outs I looked over at the guy and he was pointing at me. Like WTF? Jeez. I looked over at the driver and...well, he starts laughing and sais something like "Is he yelling at you?" Hahaha. Jeez. Yeah,so, whatever. AND I'm a nobody so that was a good one if indeed he was acting towards me. :) Cheeers hahaha.

Metallica - Whiskey In The Jar (Video)

// At the end of the video is the very last line (what it sounded like to my ears was->) "Surrender in the jar"That's a good title for a song. YT didn't immediately bring anything up. There you go. (The documented line(s) is "There's whiskey in the jar-o" and "Mush a ring, dum-a-do dum-a-da.)
