C300: WFT-6A experiences?

I was thinking of adding a WFT-6A unit to my C300 kit. My main interest is controlling the camera when the rig is on my OneManCrew or in studio setups.

Another question, if using multiple C300 cameras, can I use multiple 6A units without weird conflicts?

Looking for real world feedback.

I used to call the WFT adapter the WTF adapter because it was pricey and so unreliable that I couldn't figure out why canon bothered other than to rip off some people selling an accessory that was essentially useless. Then came a camera firmware update and suddenly the WTF adapter became the WFT adapter.

I have used it successfully for controlling the camera on exterior car rigs: the live view is reasonable and virtually any operational camera parameter can be controlled from a laptop or iPad. So in short the adapter is functional and useful in my opinion.
 
I find that the WFT is often a vastly underrated and overlooked option for the C300. Possibly because of its rocky start as Mark pointed out.

I find that being able to create two users per camera, one that controls the camera functions (Operator or DP) and one that controls metadata (script supervisor) is incredibly helpful. No more fighting over the single iPad.

However, if you're using the One Man Crew, you will probably just be using the single user mode to control all the functions from one device.

Last NAB Redrock showed an update for their One Man Crew that allowed it to be controlled over an android app via bluetooth. Being that the WFT uses an ADHOC network, I supposed you will be able to connect to both the One Man Crew and the C300 simultaneously from the same wireless device. That could be pretty handy.

I've also had 3 WFT up and running in the same room at once without any problems. But I did Manually Configure them to be sure they wouldn't stumble over each other.
 
Thanks for the feedback. I was able to find a used one on eBay for $375, so I took the plunge. If it works well for me, i will likely get another.
