Welcome Back to the Party (Exhibition Only)

As we are about a week from the shoot. I'm pretty happy so far with how things have come together. We're still scrambling to find a sound mixer, and we're still compiling set decorations. The next week will be critical in ironing out everything.
 
I watched Scream for the first time last night (I know, I should have already seen it) and it was very helpful in that the tone of that film is very similar to Welcome Back to the Party. I am excited as I have a Facetime call scheduled tonight with Geoff Reisner to go over the scenes and blocking.
 
Well, things are LOOKING up! Today the AC at my home (which is also the set for this film) was fixed! We also secured a sound mixer! And we're picking up another bunch of set decorations today! Things are beginning to look up, as this weekend presented some potential kinks in the project, MOST of them have been worked out. Still waiting to find someone to handle beauty makeup/hair, but we've got a few leads we're following up on.

Just wanted to give you an update :)
 
Last night, this guy came to my house and wanted a place to rest... So I obliged.

Busy night tonight, got all our craft service snacks and drinks, headed over to pick up some last minute props. Also cleaned the house (where we are shooting) and began set decoration. Will be finishing up set decoration tomorrow evening once Larry gets into town. We shoot in 50 hours!

Quick update. Yesterday we shot Welcome Back to the Party! We had a great shoot, that did run a little longer than expected but was worth every minute. We had a rock star crew and a professional cast that allowed us to only shoot a few takes while getting great looking shots! I am excited to begin the editing process today and will hopefully share some more soon!

Reviewing the footage now and it looks fantastic! I am so pleased with what we shot and happy that we got the performance beats and coverage we needed. Having not directed for several years I was nervous about getting the right moments and shots we needed. Thankfully I think we did.
