Thanks for all those who have entered. Barry, Larry. or Mikko, would there be an opportunity for the filmfest to have multiple "oscars and nominees" instead of just having one or two winning films? eg. Best Actress/Actor, Best Foreign Language, Achievement in Sound Editing/Mixing/Makeup. Just a question. If it has been answered, then disregard. Thanks!
 
Not sure where to post this viewing problem. QT plays all my .mov files in yellow and what seems like reversed colors. I got around that by using VLC. However, 5 of the total downloads have no audio in VLC and are unplayable elsewhere (unless yellow in QT). I have QT v7.1.3 and have done the updates.
Any ideas?

Edit: Fixed it. Forgot the settings thing.

Well, despite having access to the films since about last Wednesday, I only just got round to watching some myself.

I've watched about the first 3rd, and all that I cna say is that I am *really* impressed by what I have seen. Once again, the bar on 'user is raised higher as the talents of this group come forward.

I have all the films downloaded to a friend's X-box (boy does that make watchign them easy!) that is sat here on my floor, but I have to wait for the others before I can watch any more of them! Tonight, hopefully, will be the 2nd batch of viewing.

I agree Barry, it's going to be hard to choose a winner for this one!

Mikko Ive tried a few times and just cant get Spidey's, not getting an error just not happening.
 
Barry_S or someone, can you tell me how long this will be up? I will likely keep commenting after the winners are announced and wanted to know if I should rush and get them all now. Or will I have a few more days? I have not been saving them all as I go...
 
All the films will remain online on at least my mirror indefinatly (untill I need the space for something else [probabaly never]). I still have all of the SciFest filmes online, so DramaFest should be up for a long time still.

The viewing load-balancing system will remain online for some time still untill we see the number of downloads taper off. When that system goes offline as other mirrors choose to shut down, I will then make a direct link to my mirror available.

Ditto ... with regards to leaving them online until the space is needed for something else. Since my server/host keeps increasing space for the same price, I doubt I'll ever need the extra space anytime soon, if ever.

I also save all of the fests onto data DVD's, label & catagorize them, etc. ... so I've been able to pull a film once in a while & post it when others have asked about it (i.e. SIMILO, etc.). I love having these all saved to separate DVD's.
 
Yea, the plan is to keep the load balancing system in place. And, going forward, future fests will continue to be available via it's load balancer as well. If specific mirror providers can't continue to host the films beyond the fest, they need only notify us and we'll pull them from the load balance list. The system will continue to run just fine.

THanks everyone and (mirror owners) let me know if you run into space/bandwidth issues and we'll take you out of the list.
