damn these scammers! What is wrong with this world!

I've been scammed once. It was actually on the forum too, I believe. It was paintball related. I bought a tank of of someone, to realize that I cannot use it in Canada, as its not TC certified, only in USA I can use it. Spent $200 on it. Tried calling back, nothing. Went to his house, he was not there. Funny thing was, he was 18-19 at the time, and his sister opens the door. "Hi is ___ here?" ..'no, he's at a sleep-over at his friends'
First thought, he's gay? ..second, I knew it. Been scammed.

People have no respect for other people. Now whenever I want to buy something off someone, I want to do it locally. Otherwise, I'm scared it will happen again. Especially since I want to get a new camera for $2,000. Been saving that for nearly 2 years. I didnt save up to just give it to some guy for nothing!
 
So mr joseph dono has peeked his head again..this time messing with a business that he did a "documentary" for.


Started out with myself posting shots in a photo section of tamparacing.com. I do work for a cigar bar and he contacted me asking for info (this was back indec) so I gave him the info for the owner.

Next thing I know it he is doing footage. He was there from about 10am till well after 1 am doing interviews and broll.....well right before he leaves he says he would have a rough draft to the owner...in a 2 week window...I looked at him and said "bs".

Well thru out dec to feb he was in contact with myself and the owner either getting shots or music. Well...now its may and nothing..but he magically wants money for a supposly school project...


I. Have been in contact with him he supposly just got back from france.

I just have to point out how funny his facebook page is...

Great. Now, after reading all of this, I'm going to be suspicious of EVERYBODY, thinking it's him.

I really hope this guy gets found and locked up for all his crimes. Indie filmmakers get by by the skin of their teeth as it is without getting ripped off by some loser for all their money and gear. Makes me sick.
 
^ That demo reel looks fishy. I noticed a few scenes from a music video done for the band Prospect Hill. Yet the group that made that video doesn't have him listed as participating in the shoot - did he flat out download the music video and called it his own?
