FS7: Veydra Mini Primes

The 19mm is a very exciting development, that gives them a full S35mm set for E-mount/FZ-mount cameras. Very cool stuff. I'm really liking the images I've seen from the lenses so far too.

While we are at it, what's the opinion of the Samyang glass in general (Xeen is Samyang "elite")?

Piotr

Guys - please address the above question for me. As you can imagine, having only the kit FS7 lens (28-135 full frame), I severely lack the wide angle; I do have some wide & fast primes (16 and 24 mm, both F2.8), but they are vintage Canon FD I used for HD with my EX1/Letus; they are rather soft for 4K. And the cine Samyang lenses (also fast - like T2.2, and really wide - like 10mm, 16mm or 24mm) are quite affordable where I live; but how is the image quality? Of course, please do not compare them to the best cine lenses out there; what I need now is 1-2 wide primes with "OK" IQ... TIA

Piotr

PS. Sorry guys - I skipped several pages of this thread, and didn't notice the couple of answers to my question! Thanks for that; it seems Samyang are just "OK", as I supposed... Also, please advise (knowing my lens situation): assuming I can only afford one wide prime at the moment, which should I buy - 16 or 24mm (both around T2.2)? Samyang are available with E-mount, but please tell me (the Polish on-line shop that runs them is vague about it): are they s35 or full-frame lenses?

I own the 24mm E Mount and I must say I am not a fan of the glass at all. It flares like crazy and I'm not impressed at all. Will be selling it ASAP before other people realize it and these lenses depreciate like crazy. Three years from now they will sell for less than $300 each no doubt.

Their advantage though is that here in Poland, they cost $300 NEW (VAT included). Maybe because Samyang has a factory here?
