FS7: Veydra Mini Primes

Icarusfilm, where have you ordered the 16mm with e-mount, I can't find it on the Veydra website, do you change the mount of the lens yourself ?

Icarusfilm, Veydra is going do make another lens for E-mount...

From Ryan : "We will make at least one more E mount lens, a wider one, which we will announce in April at the NAB Show in Las Vegas."

My fs7 is being serviced at Sony the a7s sold the a6300 not arrived yet so I'm camera less. Took the lens to B&h put it on an fs5 the 16mm veydra covers the sensor all the way into the corners even wide open in 1080p and UHD. I assume that in 2k or 4k you might have very slight darkening in the corners. I'm keeping it.

On his blog Matthew Duclos linked to a video which shows the Veydra 16mm used on the Sony A6300. Not sure if that camera's APS-C sensor is the same size as the F55/5, & Fs7/5, sensor but imagine so.

There's a clip included that specifically addresses vignetting, which is significant, but subsequent ones that do not. Think the reviewer may have cropped the later.

I just wrapped a 10 day shoot for a broadcast doc. Used the 16 extensively at 2.8-5.6 in 1080 as far as I can tell doesn't require resizing.

Thinking of having my 16mm converted to NEX so frame grabs would be great. Love to get that wide without resorting to a Speedbooster, or my 16-35mm.

Thanks again.

You can see on the UHD wide open a tiny bit of vignette in the corners at 2.8 it basically becomes insignificant.
In real world terms totally OK the client can always blow up by 3-5% and its gone.
Worth it.

While we are at it, what's the opinion of the Samyang glass in general (Xeen is Samyang "elite")?
