FS7: Veydra Mini Primes

For a short film, I wanted to use Cine prime lenses with the FS7.

I would like to know what do you think about the Veydra Mini prime in e-mount ?

Do you have tested them with this camera ?

Thanks

I think they aren't cine primes in any way except mechanics.

They breathe and shift and the focus marks are a nonsense and there's all sorts of CA all over the image.

Rent a set of CP2s. Or if you have lower budget then a set of cine-modded zeiss glass.

CP2s are cine primes ? Interesting.

Compared to Veydras they most certainly are. Probably the most used primes in the world.

I'm not about to tell a guy interested in Veydras to rent master primes am I?

Haha :P

Or look at Xeen's, Sony CineAlta primes (mark II)- maybe you'll find someone that will sell you one or two, or rehoused lenses by GL Optics or Duclos

Hi Erik,

Thanks for the link.

Do you have seen problems with these lenses ? Chromatic aberration ? The focus marks are good or not ?

Ben, do you have tested them ?

I can't rent CP2 or another lenses where I am, so I have to buy 3 or 4 lenses...

Thank you

I have the 25,35 and 50 and I'm very with the. Mechanically and optically. I wouldn't shoot them wide open but at 2.8 -4 they are very pleasing.

I didn't have any issues with them on my shoot. I don't use focus marks. I have a follow focus with hard stops and pre focus. I never measure off shots with tape.
