Using iMac for monitoring?

I tried a search on this, but I wasn't getting anything in the results. So if this has been answered 100 times, my apologies.

Is it possible to use my imac as a monitor for my t2i? I should imagine so, but I can't figure it out. It's the 2.8 i5 if that helps.

As far as I know, there is no HDMI or RCA ports on the iMac so the only way to monitor would be via the EOS utility via USB. It lags, but it works and has various camera controls as well.
