Used Powerbook vs. cheap PC for offloading

Which PC card slot do I need for the P2 cards- TYPE I, II, or III? Or will any of the three do?

Does only II work? Never heard of III...

They should state the type, it is important.

The difference between them is the thickness of the cards they will accept. Type I cards are pretty rare, as are Type III -- the latter is typically used by MicroDrive hard drives.

Hm, I could get a 667MHz G4 Poerbook for around 550€ or for about the same price a new dell...
Can this G4 run MacOS X and will it capture DVCproHD? Does processor speed have much influence on video capturing at all?
