Was watching the making of for the Stylo Music Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9vAOzYz-Qs ) and I spotted a 7D in use on the production. I know professional use is nothing new for the 7D's, just thought some of the folks here may be interested. Btw, if you're a Gorillaz fan, check out the new album Plastic Beach, it's tight.

the jib shot where bruce willics walk towards the edge looks alot like panasonic hmc 150/ 170 footage.

I suspected they used some HDLSR work or even EX1/.
Like the video not so much the song .

Thank you for posting this. I love this band! Video is sick! The 7D is earning it's stripes. I don't want to read anymore threads about what this camera lacks because what it doesn't lack completely out ways it's cons in this price range. Shut up and shoot, lol.

Even if it was only used for certain shots it still has earned it's place.

Just downloaded the cd. I think the BTS video was 7D too. The Gorillaz Video was shot on RED.

Can someone confirm 3D Software used?

Can someone confirm 3D Software used?

Just downloaded the cd. I think the BTS video was 7D too. The Gorillaz Video was shot on RED.

So a REDONE camera was used in "STYLO" ?

What 3D software was used?

I've used everything from Blender3D to Maya, but I've been a Fan of Gorillaz for so long, I've been waiting for the moment when they'd really go 3D, I'm sure 2-D would be happy.

They've had some 3D character versions in the past, but nothing like this. I keep wondering if the car front was also part of the 3D CGI and compositing done more easily (probably) ... again, I ask myself Shake 4.1 Node Compositing or Blender 2.5 Alpha 2 (which is great and amazingly fast on Linux with NVIDIA Cores).

As far as the Canon 7D, its resolution is amazing, but how much footage can it take in?
