Uploading footage on the t2i

Hey guys,
I just got a canon t2i and also have a powermac g5 with final cut pro. Does anyone know how the best way to upload the footage? I want to make sure I know the best way to do this as I know there are probably multiple ways.

The way i load my T2i/550D footage is with my http://www.amazon.co.uk/Integral-US...1_1?ie=UTF8&s=computers&qid=1293556234&sr=8-1 directly to an external hard drive, once on the drive it can be edited with software,my sotware does not need the files to be transcoded.
