upgrading to 10.4.11 and QT 7.4.1 safe?

Just finalized a project.. and was considering updating my QT and OSX.. Are things working properly with OSX 10.4.11 and QT 7.4.1 which seem to be the latest??

I will be working with the latest Final Cut Studio and HVX200

does this have anything to do with its compatibility with Red wares? we had to downgrade to 7.3.

It hasn't broken anything for me that 7.4 hadn't already broken but also it hasn't fixed any of the issues either.... I'm still getting the "Invalid Public Movie Atom" error when trying to play QT's

Is there a distinctive reason to update?

If there isn't and all is running well, why change it?

And before you do, if you do, clone your boot drive to a third drive using CCC or SuperDuper

im running 10.4.11 and QT 7.4.1 for about a week now and have seen ZERO problems.

BUT, i did it on a formatted and zeroed drive - not an update of an in-place system
