UPDATE: Tokina 11-16 2.8

Spoke with a sales manager from (www.servicephoto.com) this morning. He said that he was at a trade show last week and spoke to a rep from Tokina. The rep told him that they're having a really tough time getting the lens from Japan and they expect them to start resupplying in two weeks.

meanwhile, tristate camera has them on ebay right now for $648 with free shipping. a small premium to pay if you want it now imho. tristate is an authorized tokina dealer and they claim this to be a usa model with usa warranty. they have great ratings on ebay and on the web.

just ordered mine last night!!!

Thanks for the info. I just googled them and if it's tristate camera (www.tristatecamera.com) good luck. The dude just told me he'd do me a favor and send me his personal used one for $750 lol

tristate camera don't exactly have a 100% record on resellerratings.com
In fact a lot of their negative comments are about claiming they have stuff in stock when they haven't
not saying they are totally bad, just be careful

I got my tokina 11-16 from Cameraland (ebay) they are also physically located on Lexington ave in manhattan

I just called Cameraland and they're out of stock too. Man, this lens is impossible to find right now lol.

Bought mine from craigslist. If you call B&H direct, you can preorder for when they get more in stock. I did that for the tokina lens hood and it took about 6 weeks to get.

FYI, i got my lens from tri state camera. no issues. don't always believe crap on the web...
