Up Rez question

Ok I have been wanting to jump off a cliff in frustration. I'm trying to figure out the best way to up rez a video. I know I can do it in AF or FC. How ever I know their are plugins on the market and I bought this:

How ever I don't know how to work AF and I'm stuck with learning how to do it.

Someone please help me out, for the effort I'll give you the serial number of the instant HD plugin that I purchased for 399.99 and all you'll have to do is DL the demo and use serial number and you'll have it.

If you can help, be easy I don't know what I am doing so you'll have to walk me through step by step, as I'm a little unsure to what I am doing.
 
I haven't tried Instant HD. I'll bet it does a good job. However, for web video I've seen some good footage by just outputting as a 1280x720 file and then converting to H.264.
 
go check out video co pilot they are the masters of after effects and have a bunch of free tutorials. Great stuff there.

Hi! here is my workflow to upraise footage:

1- Get 16:9 WideScreen from DVX100 in either way:
(Must shoot in Progressive with VerticalDetail-Thin)

Best: Shoot in Normal(4:3) mode with Anamorphic Lens.
Acceptable: Shoot in Squeeze Mode.

2- Capture in WideScreen Timeline on NLE.

3- Export finished product into either of the following ways:

Best: If NLE supports HD upraise then must do your upraise from there with 1280x720P and Square Pixels. Otherwise export as normal Wide-Screen movie.

Acceptable: Encode the movie in either InstantHD(RedGiant) or H.264(QT-Pro) or XviD(Super) in HD with Square Pixels and 1280x720P

P.S. If you want to apply some effects like Magic Bullet etc. you can only do so on the original WideScreen footage got out from NLE not on the artificially upraised footage. Apply effects then upraise.

P.P.S. Tell us about your experience with this workflow.

For everyone who cares, here is his information. Do what you want with it. Trust him, befriend him, avoid him. Frankly it doesn't matter to me, but he was/is a scammer.

Scams:

1) misrepresented the items he sent (i.e. broken)
2) tries to sell stuff he doesn't have (tool chests, rolexs, etc.)
3) pays you with paypal and then files for unauthorized use of said account.
4) using stolen credit card numbers (pretending to be those other people).
5) signed up under different SN's to give himself a positive trader rating, and to vouch for him.
6) pretends to be a lawyer, or threatens frivolous lawsuits.

We've banned many of his accounts on here, but he continues to sign back up and try to sell/trade his stuff on here. Craigslist and ebay seem like great alternatives, but he keeps coming back here.

Like I said, do what you want with this information. I'm just posting it b/c the other threads all have his banned SN's in the title, and new members will just look at the title and think nothing of it.

This is what I have done also. I use AE to upscale to 1280x720 and then to H.264
