Unfriendly Voightlander retailer

I got an e-mail as well, but unfortunately he told me I didn't preorder soon enough. I'll have to wait till February for that sweet f0.95 goodness.

Voightlander 25mm f0.95 on a GH2

Beautiful imagel. Beautiful bokeh from 10 aperture blades and 17cm close focus as well. Hope it will be my main lens. Philip Bloom says it would be his "desert island lens" and it's his "new favorite lens"

Stunning.

Got my Nikon F/MFD adapter from Camera Quest today. Ordered on Monday. Stephen was easy to work with and the item seems very well manufactured. I will do business with him again.

Maybe the guy got pissed off because he's getting a lot of enquiries and questions but not any orders? I'm running an online outlet and trust me, most people who ask a lot of questions never order anything from you. They take all your time and energy. So I can understand where he comes from. Of course it's not an excuse for getting rude, if he can't cope with it he should put his phone on voice mail mode and take questions by web only and create a FAQTRPMO (frequently asked questions that really piss me off) lol

The Bloom image is beautiful by the way but how much is DOF at f0.95 and 2 meter distance between cam and subject? 10 cm or less?

I think I read that it's like 4cm.... Man that's one hell of an AC to pull that off in an interview.... ahhh please, you moved your eyeball so now the shot is ruined...

lol yeah...
I love the image and bokeh though but I don't think I would ever use it @ f0.95 so I might as well invest that money in a Zeiss prime.

One thing to bear in mind is that for low light shooting, a lens this speed is fantastic, like outdoor scenes. And you can always stop down, but you can't make a lens faster.

A 25mm lens at f.95 has about the same DOF as a 50mm at f1.8. And I shoot fairly regularly at f1.4 and f1.8 with my 5DmkII 50mm lens.

My bottom line on this lens is that is quite a value at the price it sells for. And I think it will become one of my favorites. If not I bet I can sell it for almost what I bought it for.

I will probably also use it for timelapse with my Lumix.

Since it has a micro 4/3 mount, is there any communication between camera and lens? Auto focus, aperture control? I am looking at this lens and the combination of the Birger adapter and Zeiss ZE primes.
