Just got off the phone with a very frustrated and rude distributer of the Voightlander .95 lens.
He's says he's been inundated with phone calls and is quite frustrated about all the inquiries and questions. LMAO!!!! Nice problem to have in this economy pal
 
I've never heard of a complaint like that in my life hahaha
Stop inquiring about my video production company would ya, I'm getting sick of all this work!!

It was quite ridiculous. Lets just say this distributer is on the west coast...I've chosen to do business on the east coast. Very friendly, courteous, informative and eager to earn my business. A professional!

I think I know who this is...
The same guy who doesn't want to communicate by email either and packs his goods in old newspaper...
But, nothing new. He's been like this for years. Dealing for ages with Leica M crowd... I guess doctors and dentists pay with no extra questions like you people...Hehehehe...
 
There are only two U.S. dealers. I've only corresponded via email with the west coast dealer at Cameraquest and always received prompt, courteous and professional feedback. Perhaps he was just having a bad day, we all have them.

I guess he is thinking of all the taxes & paperwork he would have to do if all those sales came in. And just think, if he sold something then he might have to deal with a customer!!!
Sounds like he needs to retire - or run for office and become a congressmen and go to D.C. - sounds like he would fit right in.
 
I got mine in Canada from Leica boutique in Montreal. Great service. Little more money for US customers though.
 
Yeah I've actually read other complaints about that clown on random review websites. I sent a very friendly e-mail then, and his reply was rude and unhelpful. That's why I posted an inquiry a week ago about finding a different source for the lens. Jerks like that don't derserve ANY business. Let's find another source for those.
 
I just ordered my Voigtlander 25mm f.95 from Cameraquest. He was very polite and professional, I made a paypal downpayment and got a quick reply. Stephen even gave me a discount because of the paypal down payment.

I tried the East coast store in NY and they wanted the whole sum in advance. But they were also very professional and polite.

It will be very interesting to see what other lenses will be offered in the near future. This looks like a very good one.

I also ordered from Cameraquest and received prompt courteous responses plus he offered a discount also for Paypal down pmt.
 
I got a $50.00 discount.

The more stills I see from this lens the more impressed I am. It will be very interesting to what else they come up with in the MFT format in the coming year.
 
Seemed pretty friendly to me.... could have been the way others responded to him that lead to this reaction. You know how some people can be so demanding and I think it's cause he doens't have them in stock or know how many he'll be getting even.
 
The second batch is in!

Just got an email from Stephen and sent him the balance for the lens. Stephen says they will ship after the Christmas rush starting on the 27th of December. I'll probably get the lens before the camera. Camera Quest has been a pleasure to work with so far. No issues as far as I can see.

Have to say this lens is one of the really big draws of the AF100 to me. Whenever my mind has wandered to F3 country the Voightlander m4/3 25mm f0.95 for under $1000 has brought it back.
