Underwater bag

That's pretty cool, looks like it works well. I can deffo see it getting some nice shots underwater like someone drowning so something.

This was shot with my Canon Ixus 100IS. For a credit-card sized p&s, I'm fairly impressed with its performance. When I put it on a 701HDV and tripod and am careful about light, it's excellent.

Compression really took its toll.

I will try to shoot some better tomorrow. I realize I need to put a strong rubber band on the lens extension to keep it tight against the end of the lens otherwise it tends to have too much space in there. Easy fix.

By the way, Michael, you don't need to put your head underwater to shoot. It's very hard to hold the camera steady when you're swimming.

Why not just buy an underwater GoPro Camera 720p and 1080p and the footage is fantastic. Will go to 60ft and the camera costs $229. No Risk. And you get 170 degree wide angle or 120 degree, you select.

Because I'm cheap and would rather spend $14 than $230 for one quick shot as I stated in my OP. I'm actually very happy with the bag I got now but thanks anyways.

BTW Ithis forced me to wisly add my camera to my insurance policy

And it's especially hard because my head is full of air. Actually I need to shoot one shot where I get below the actress and my super-boyant bloated body is making that difficult...I may need wieghts

Edit: here is my new sub-cam:

Looks like you've had good luck with the your bag. I'm considering getting one. Any problems with it? I'd probably go for a more expensive one just to be safe.

I hear a lot of people saying how scary these things are but havent heard any bad results with them. So whats the problem?

Also, your footage dosent look like 7D quality. I've seen 7D with underwater housing and it looks great. Do you think the underwater bag is the reason for this?

Any advice is appreciated.

Well not sure what you expected, but to me the quality is pretty good...it is a murky lake. No bad results so far. Have shot many times with it.
