Dude, I dont even know where to start. If thats how life should be, then Id be in heaven. Perfect. All the way. Yeah, definately not the right title for the thread. I almost underestimated it but I am so glad that I watched it.
I thought it sounded like Frou Frou, and Im glad it turned out to be something related. If youre interested, I will pay you for a copy of that on DVD just so I can see it full screen.
Audio was perfect, shots were perfect, editing was perfect...... lemme know.

dude, flattery will get you everywhere. just pm me your mailing address and i'll shoot you a dvd. no charge.

serene huh? that's funny because my family and friends all got sad after seeing it. well i guess as marlene said above, it's a different story to everyone. i'm glad that it came out that way. the footage is so mixed up that there is no clear theme or obvious message. i was really just trying to reproduce the same type of images the song conjured up in my head. i'm glad that people are getting it and liking it. thanks for all the compliments from everyone. it really means a lot.

Well it didn't really make me tear or anything but I guess if you some pictures of a little girl being taken from her family that might have done the trick but I was just kinda zoning out with it

Yeah - I really like this short because it proves you can make art with a video camera --
it doesn't have any storyline, yet it is really compelling. I think the number of responses here means that people feel the same way.
This short is a beacon of hope!

cheezweezl,

Remarkable work! You keep intriguing us with your imagination.

Your avatar is now synonymous with highly innovative creations.

Did you use the same camera settings for the entire piece or were they tweaked for each segment? Would you remember (or even bother) to share the subtle changes you made to achieve those looks?

What about lighting? Any special indoor/outdoor setups or was this mostly using available light?

Absolutely loved the slow dolly into the window shot on the hardwood floor. And who wouldn't admire the exploding light bulb scene. How did you capture that incredible explosion?

It's rare to have such an amazing combination of shooting, editing, and scoring all roled up into one person. I think another term for this kind of ability is "TALENTED".

BTW, like Kevin Peeples, I'll pm you and would be happy to pay for a copy of that DVD, as well. What's more, you can charge a premium for your voice over track describing how you achieved the various camera, lighting and editing effects in your piece.

Super work!

The shot of the black cat on the red couch is unexpected, but beautiful.

and i liked the Light bulb exploding.

Music sounds likke Laurie Anderson.

Nice creative edit.

Didn't care too much for the song but, then again, you didn't write or perform it :)

Sounds like what would happen if Laurie Anderson met the Back Street Boys

I just wanted to say I'm comfortable enough to say I thought the song was OK, no qualifiers :)

really nice. I like it when you're allowed to drift and let something wash over you. I've never heard the song, but I like it - suits the piece very well.

well done.

wow that was amazing! so are you going to send the full rez to holymexicobatman? I wanna seeeee! haha. Man its great when you hear a good song and you get a bunch of images in your head, i swear i got honked at a bunch of times on the road for being stopped at a green light while imagining scenes to a song thats playing in my car. lol! well anyways, great job!
