TrueColor vs Vision02 preset

thanks for posting. but i wish there were some skin tones in your video, besides just a hand, which sill looks very magenta to me. Film never reacts this way to skin exposure.

Just gave it a shot. nice, but way too dark. With an adapter it kills as much light, if not more than the M2.

IMO VIsion03 is the state of the art preset for filmic look without cc.
See those examples: I did 2 different white balance and the skin color is in both cases good.

Someday, in my experience the A1 does just fine as far as skintone goes indoor with properly lit footage. What I have not been able to resolved is outdoor footage, especially when sunlight (diffused or otherwise) hit the skin straight on. Then I start getting ugly orange patches. If you have time to shoot some of those outdoor sample that would be great.

Here is from another thread. Some vision 2 stuff and corrected in post

It's for a video assignment in school "Cinema and Architecture" Shot with the canon XH A1, Letus Extreme, Nikon Primes, Vision02 preset. Color corrected in post, curve adjustment and then brought the blues up in the shadows and crushed the blue's in the highs (more yellow )

:) thank you.

And the skin tone in your shots look fine. I guess it's really the skin type that will enhance the magenta hue as well as the lighting.

I wish I could get rid of my magenta hue in real life.

I really suggest you to try VISION03. I don't see any magenta in it's new version (i changed the color settings a little)
I recommend using peset white balance and then setting manually the desired kelvin temperature.
Look at those shots, the skin seems perfect to me
