Tripod suggestions

Best and maybe only tripod for that price made by libec. Dv22 or 950 models. Don't make mistake of boughting junk chinese weifang fancier tripod. Peoples want to think they can get something for nothing. Cannot. Be smart and get quality japanese libec, not chinese junks. Junk chines we fang only goodfor locked shot and holding doors open. Lol!
 
I just started with my DSLR's and after doing much research on this matter, I decided to go with the Manfrotto 501 HVD kit. It was not cheap, and I could not understand why a tripod would cost that much, but believe me its worth it! Make an investment in a quality pod which ever one you choose.

Nothing. The libecs (from the LS22 upwards) have far better movements than the Manfrottos, even if their weight range is more limited. Of course if you try a Sachtler, you may never want to go back either. However, budget constraints being what they are...
 
I own manfrot libec and also occonor. Manfrot not bad bad but libec is better and even cheaper. If you have small moneys, best to boughted libec. Workmanship also better in libec.
 
Do these expensive tripods stop showing camera movement on telephoto in wind ,i thought its down to the weight the velbon 700 is not light but on any close ups over 300mm unless its dead calm movement can be seen on the film.
 
Nope if wind is a little bit strong and lens a little bit long, even $10,000 tripod will vibrate. Lol.
 
Yes i guess the tripods on programns like planet earth etc weigh 2/3 stone plus the weight of the cameras.
