Transcend 32GB class 10 SDHC card for $53.51

Transcend are unreliable- I had 2 fail (at the most critical moments, no way to reshoot, filming on alpine climb), so if you want to risk it- go ahead. I bought 4 transcend and 2 failed in less then 12 months- that is not a good tracking record. They are more prone to failure in the cold (both times it was about 25F)

My approach has been to buy the best quality brand name low report of failure SDHC drive sold.

You only get one chance to make an event recording.

Don't put regular gas in a high performance engine

Never had a single problem with Transcend. Wish I could say that about the Expensive Panasonic SD cards I bought. Both went bad within 3 months! But didn't jepodize footage.. just unreliable.

One thing though that is so true.. I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket! I like the 16 gigers... 100 minutes is a nice run time.

I recommend you look at the results when people have used the SDHC cards in adapters for the EX1/3. They have a much longer history of practical testing in camera (years) AND those cameras record at a higher data rate than the AF100.

In summary, none of the cards has been perfectly consistent. Generally Sandisk has been very reliable except a short patch of time when they did not meet specs or the market was flooded with counterfeits, whichever story you believe. Good Sandisks cards often exceed specs. There was also an issue of red stripe vs green stripe, and multi layer vs single layer. All fixed up now from recent reports.

Transcend also had a stretch unreliable cards, though their early ones were great. Lately Transcend has been great again. Especially in their latest class 10s.

The other general advice is to buy from bigger sellers rather than ebay. There are far too many fakes on ebay that don't meet specs.
