FEATURE: TRAILER - SUPERSEEDS | Super Powered Adventure

Thanks and more thanks. Ready to get photography in the can, man!

--

I keep wondering what sort of updates to post here, but every time I got to write one they seem unimportant or just plain ol' common sense to me. So, I went to see what Adam (Taormina) said in his thread and I'm realizing that, although I didn't read the first few posts of that thread when it was started, I'm on the same page as him. It's a shame that things went the way that they did because honestly, those first few posts should be stickied here for those looking to dig into feature production from the script to screen, with very little money.

So, here are the links to the two threads:

Original Thread -- http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthrea...rado-quot-A-production-blog&highlight=corrado

Corrado Part II -- http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?151846-Corrado-Part-II&highlight=corrado

I'd say read everything up until things start to crumble and take from it what you will.

I will say that Adam does have (or did have) a different outlook than I on would be hiring stars, A or B list talent. I won't go into much detail unless asked, but I will simply direct anyone curious to: SMILEY FACE and OPERATION: END GAME

Watch either of those, count how many recognizable faces and names are there. Basically, I think star power is old hat.

Other than that, if there are any questions about process, etc, I'd be happy to entertain them all.

I kinda think you're right, in that "name" actors may not matter so much to filmmakers who have a great story to tell, and may not matter so much to the audience given a well told high-concept story appeals to them, but they may still matter to the gatekeepers of various distribution outlets who worry the audience won't be interested unless you've got a star. But i think that notion is starting to change ever so slightly. This is not to say i wouldn't love to work with a "name". Many of those actors are famous because they're the best in the world. And I'd very much like to work with the best.

Slight is a good keyword. Perhaps the more money they have to spend on it, the larger the risk, the better it will be to have an A-list in the movie when they purchase.

I'd definitely love to see my actors get screentime with some names! That wouldbe sweet.

Little BTS teaser. Actor Cody Deal tries his arms on for the first time.

Not a huge update, but production has a total of six days left of shooting out the content, which includes a bit of a superhero combat scene.

Starting sunday, we'll be shooting out those days next week.

Almost at the first save point.

Rock on, Kholi! I'm sure they'll be some nagging difficulties to deal with at the end, because you're so close, but just plow through! It'll be so worth all the hard work.

Some stills from yesterday's shoot. Got a lot of great stuff.

Extras are hard to wrangle without cash. New lesson for me: either choose a location where extras can drive too easily or write around the need for them... or just have a few thousand budgeted for lots of extras in general. Either way, we mad it work!

Somehow missed this, but thanks, Marlon.

Definitely can't wait to be wrapped out on Principal. Been a long walk.
