Trailer for "BAC Again - Last Call" (7D)

This is a film I have been working on for over a year and we are nearing the end.

It is a 30 minute short that follows the journey of a cop who looses everything, and what he has to do to get it back.

Which sounds contrived and boring, so just watch the trailer! It's over the top and goofy and I would love any feedback!

Footage quality looks great, colors look nice, and overall the story/action seems really good. The one thing that looks horrible though is that guys "fake mustache. But yeah judging your movie by this trailer I would watch it, problem is I see no people of color in this film.

Seems like a "white" version of Dead Presidents

I'm...curious? I've been noticing that a LOT on the boards lately. What exactly is the issue with NOT having a person of colour in a movie? Are you kidding me? That would turn you off of a movie?

Jesus, I will never understand people.

<--- That's me in case you guys thought I was making a racist comment.

Footage looked good William and well edited.

Awaiting the 11th!

I agree looked good. What impressed me the most and what stood out to me was the sound. I liked the sound a lot. Good job on the vocals.

It is not something I thought about when I watch anything, but as a young colored man myself it just stuck out to me. I think when doing any movie you should have variety in the actors you select. This is my opinion and I stand strong buy it.

Regardless I'm not taking anything away from the OP as I think it looks great and apologize if it was taken the wrong way

Thanks

Looks really good! I love the cinematography, editing and sound. The only thing that's a little "meh" for me is some of the casting seems a little bit weak. It almost makes it feel like a parody, but if that's what you are going for then it's perfect. But if it is a serious piece then some of the characters just seem too young and not believable. Other than that it's seems VERY WELL crafted! Good job bro!
Hope we get to see this :)

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Rakesh, yes it is a parody, meant to be a jab at other action/drama movies.

It'll be online on the 11th definitely.

Well I feel like a douche now LOL; but honestly it's just so well crafted, I wasn't sure...
So hell yeah, I can't wait to see this!

Hey guys. Just an update.

We had the opening premiere yesterday at the Byrd Theater in richmond, VA and had a great turnout!

The whole film will be on my website in the next couple days and I'll post here when it is incase you guys would like to check it out and share any feedback you might have.

Also as a note for anyone interested, we had the theater project a 1080p blu-Ray onto their 35 foot screen and wow. These DSLRs have a whole lot of problems and I am still very much on the fence about them but holy-cow, I was ABSOULUTELY BLOWN AWAY by how it looked on the big screen. (and reaffirmed my standpoint of adding a little grain goes a loooong way in fighting that ever present plastic look these things have.)

It ain't just for 720p YouTube clips.

really fantastic awesome stuff, only parts didnt like was the acting at 11 second and the same guy looking like he is excited and playing kiss chase at 39 seconds. Other than that is was awesome

just read its a parody im a douch ignore me, great work, you could pass of some scenes as serious miami vice film though, really impressive

The editing and grading definitely looks really good. And at first I was a little bit "meh" on the acting but you said its more of a parody, so in that case I thought it was great.

And as for Cieloent's comment: How come I didn't see any Asians? Or Indians? Or Native Americans? Or Purple People Eaters (they f*cking exist!)? I mean does it really matter? I don't watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and complain about there not being any African Americans. I mean sometimes you just cast who you can get cast. Who cares if they're white, black, or purple.

Great stuff man, always impressed with what these cameras can do in the right hands, awesome job.

Aside from the cast looking too young for this genre (I realize this is a parody) well, aside from that, it looks great. CC & grading shine through.

It seems like this would have been fun to put together: production & post.

Disappointed in the lack of Eskimos in the cast, other than that, nice job!
(Purple people eaters…oh man, wheres that virtual rimshot link again?)

This must be the dumbest post + racist one I have seen on these boards. First of all when I meant color it did not mean "black" people, it meant "color" which is anything other than white.

I did not say a movie had to have it, but it just seemed odd when I saw the trailer for the first time and did not notice it. Second if you are watching a movie such as Crouching TIger you know that it will be of a certain race so that analogy was beyond idiotic.

Finally as a director a good casting call is part of your job, the world is bigger than just the neighborhood you live in and having diverse talent in your film will make you go a long way. Yes I am still interested in watching this movie , but people take an opinion of mine and put it out of context.
