He's been very suspicious using someone else's paypal, accpeting payments from 2 people, lying to both of us about shipping the camera and threatening our lives. I've saved every conversation and email and so has bmfm films. He has the camera, we know because he sent me emails with my email and his in it. He's givin a link to his photobucket account, http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k207/chunhefnerf163/, to a couple people but since this incident started he has taken pictures of himself off. Bmfm saved a picture and I took a screenshot of the page. If you are in fact not a scammer then you will make a post here explaining why you've lied, changed your story and threatened us. If you don't make a post, I'll assume you are a scammer and we'll both get our money back. If anyone wants to see the emails or conversations then I will be glad to post them.

what scum. he called me on a restricted number and i needed his info and that was to much hassle for him so he made a lie saying he bought a keyboard off a guy and it showed broke so the guy threathened his life. and thats why he doesnt want to give away his information. is there anyway we can get his ip address? and this all can be settled ?

I have his IP from the emails he sent me. Not much you can do with it other than find the general location, which I did, and it wasn't where he said he was.

I filed a complaint against TQ248 and called him a scammer on DVXuser.
He called me and told me to remove both.
He said he would only ship it out if I removed the complaint from Paypal, which is ridiculous. He says it messes with his business. I called Paypal, and they told me it affects that transaction.
Besides I've had a claim filed against me once, it didn't freeze my account when it happened.
I find that bull ****, and the countless lies he has told me.
I've wasted precious time, who cares how old I am and who cares who you are. The fact is that I paid 1700 dollars, and I never got the camcorder.
I'm sick of it.

If you end the dispute with paypal now you are screwed as you can not reopen it.

I got lucky.
When I was talking to his "wife/girlfriend" she complained that paypal called twice and woke up the kids twice.
Liittle did I know that I could have screwed myself over.
Luckily, Paypal helped me out and refiled the claim and re-opened the case.
I have ordered a DVX100a from him almost 2 weeks ago. I was still waiting (3-4 weeks) when I read this thread. I asked him to give me a tracking number, in vain. What should I do? Report a scam to Paypal or wait and see if he shipped the camera? After all, we're talking about $1600!

Definitely document everything.
The FBI probably wouldnt get involved at this level so you may want to check with your local pd. Call the non-emergency no and see what they suggest you do. Tell them you want to find this guy and prosecute him.

Hey guys he tried to scam me too. I tried to buy a DVX 100a from him in July but it never arrived. Luckily he messed up his paypal account when I sent him the money so he refunded me and asked me to ship it again. I said I'll ship it when the camera arrives. I haven't heard from him since. I didn't file a complaint because technically I got my money back and he didn't get off with anything, but that was only a matter of luck. Steer clear of this guy.

Hey guys. This happened to me except it was a fake Les Paul. Because I didn't have any money in my Paypal acct, my credit card co. treated it as a sales transaction and reversed the payment over night. All I had to do was prove to them that I would ship it back (even though it never showed).
If you had a zero balance on your Paypal acct, contact whatever credit company you used for the transaction. Give them the date and the amount. Don't mention Paypal because I think the lazy ones think of it as an automatic strike against you and they'll give you a line of BS. Hope this helps.

hey paypal will never help you out. I "bought" an xh1 on ebay and the guy never sent it. Paypal takes too long to investigate. Call your Credit Card. They will get on it right away. If paypal tells you that contacting your credit card will void their investigation, pay no attention to them and get your credit card on it.
