TORN - a film by Rodney Smith

Hard Candy starring an unknown Ellen Page was very well done as a single location low budget thriller.
Good call, a high brown torture porn movie that was not too graphic and had a fairly simple yet complex plot.
 
I am SO tempted to so torture porn right now just for the hell of it, but I'm going to be nice and continue to NOT go there... but oh so tempting. I gottta watch some thrillers, but for some reason i have a yearning to watch Mall Rats instead.
 
do it rodney, cave in to your inner demons. give us the torture porn with buckets of blood and cringe inducing visuals.
 
Brandon came up with the thrillfest concept so i'm sure he would be happy that the genre is pushed to extremes. there is no censorship here rodney, nor should you base you movie on what anyone wants but yourself. real talk. as long as it is thrilling, go for it.
 
Dude that's me kidding. It's a joke. I usually make what movies I wanna make and believe me when I know there is no censorship here. That's why the "Frown at me" is so funny (to me at least).
 
Oh good god... my 3D is basic: alternate closing your eyes really fast while viewing my movie. No glases required AND you get the headache too!
 
So it begins. Just finished the first draft of my script and threw in a little bit of torture porn just for the hell of it. Dunno how I feel about it exactly but damn it's sexy... and bloody...

Yeah Rodney, if the film stays at that hard R rating, go for it! We want a wide array of films in this festival, hence the very open genre! :thumbsup:

I'll shoot for 2 versions in any case. Shoudl be fun.
 
I should post this under the DIY section at some point but I've been prepping this bad boy for quite some time now, getting all of my modifications done. I decided I didn't like the limitations of the Glidecam V-8, so I had to do a little researtch and then a lot of trial and error.

I've got some shots planned for this on Torn, so I'm looking forward to seeign how that sequence plays out especaially during rehearsal.

The cage is custom built with all of the excess Cinevate parts I own and fits the HVX (no adapter) or T2i.
 
Hit me up if you need some help boyeeeee. I am thinking about doing a little something for this fest myself, but it's not likely given my schedule these days. But will def come out and lend a hand if you need it.
