Too Early?

Is it too early to start thinking about the next Fest!? Any ideas on what the next assignment's gonna be?

Film noir? War? Drama?

I did my sci-fi short with a noir look. Does the 6 minute time limit for the movie or does that include the credits also? BTW, has anyone seen the upload instructions for the contest piece?

"noir" is not a category, but more along the lines of a feel or environment of a film. I think that the next fest would need to be a little more general, and those interested in a film noir look could achieve that, but limiting it to "noir" as a category seems very limiting to me.

i think limiting to noir would be very intersting. a couple contests ago everybody shot the same script. that is limiting. as you said, noir is a style. you can shoot just about any genre with a noir style. how about a noir family movie? or a noir romantic comedy? eh? eh?

I like the idea of character driven too.

BTW, Aram, I watch some of your films on your website -- Can You See Me Now??? -- I loved that one!

Not appropriate for this thread, but I'd love to hear more about the software you use for special effects.
