Tokina 11-16 or Canon 10-22?

...the Tokina has better low-light capabilities? But from what I understand it also has more vignetting?

The Canon is 100$ more. Wich one is the "best" (I assume they are directly comparable). For t2i/550D if that makes any difference!

Does anyone have a picture of a large stadium full of fans taken with the Tokina?

hehe :D

Range or speed?

If I had to choose all over again, I think I would go with the Canon (assuming I could find it used for roughly the same price as the Tokina) because of the extra range. As it is, however, the 11-16 is a fantastic lens, and I have no problems with taking a couple of steps forward or backward when needed... as long as there's enough room to do so, of course - that's just what I find wanting for my style of shooting. Also, it'd be nice to just have to carry two lenses (say, the 10-22 and the 24-105L) while walking around during the day, as opposed to the three I usually take with me now (11-16, 18-55, and an 85). But I'm sure my style/preferences will change as I gain more experience.

I was looking into the same thing. Try going to a photography store with your Canon body and put on each lens to try it out. I did read that the Tokina was sharp as heck.

Tokina 11-16mm or Canon 10-22 for Canon 7D, 550d/T2i etc.

Oh good! I was beginning to get withdrawal symptoms from not seeing that stadium picture daily! (and it is a cracking picture, btw)

To the OP, for what it's worth, here's my comparison of these two lenses. Both are killer lenses, which one is the best choice just depends on your specific needs. Hope this helps.
