I just saw someone do it on an HVX, can this be replicated with an A1? I dont know why my text is so big, its jammed on 5point font and i cant get it off....

peace

Sure. It depends on the effect you want though--are you talking about sped up footage with light streaks or just simply 2 fps? If the latter, all you have to do is shoot 24F and speed up the footage 1200% (12x) and you will skip frames to the equivalent speed of 2 fps.

I have a pretty cool city driving undercrank-type clip I shot the other day. Encoding right now.

interesting. I would like to see the undercrank and a 1200% sample... however i can do the 1200% thing myself. hehe

For light streaks I would imagine you could shoot using the slow shutter speeds, then speed up to 1200%. That might yield pretty nice results.

someone posted a time lapse sequence shot at Costco... check out Dvinfo.net for the clip

That was a goofy attempt. This new driving clip is much cooler.

I shot it with the A1 and the WA adapter.

Ok, here it is: http://realm.cc/upload/Elton/Deranged.mov 122 MB H.264

Here's a grab:

Shot 24F, -3 dB, 1/3 shutter. Sped up 1200% for an approximate 2 fps effect.

Barlow,
I am downloading now. Slightly off-topic but can you see why the wide angle adapter for the A1 doesn't fit on the H1 lens? I am curious as it is a 72mm thread mount so it should work but I was told it doesn't. Can you verify this on the 16x manual also?

In fact on BHphoto it is listed as being compatible with the a1, g1 and XL2. Can you see if it fits the H1 and it not, try to explain the reason? Of course, this is assuming you still have the H1.

Thanks man!

I believe its about 26mm equivalent, but obviously there is some barrel distortion. It's not bad for the $.
