My Thoughts:

Love the storyboard. :) Gets the job done! The visual FX on the dash was a wonderful touch. I wanted to punch that kid. Cheers on a one man army of work! I applaud your talents!

My second to the last review ... WHEW!

Figuring out that this was going for a campy/fun vibe, it worked. Very cute, and great twist at the end that the kid actually WAS the spy. Loved the change in language at the end with the mother (French?), and NICE VFX with the satelite image from the phone. Top notch!

Though the ADR (wow, you guys' ADR'd that ENTIRE thing?!?! Tons of work!) was actually pretty good in that it wasn't horribly off with the talent's lips, AND it still had fairly good inflection/dynamic range from the talent! Great job. However, you need to spend special attention to either record it in a better setting, or at least work with it in post to match your visuals. We could hear the reverb of the room you're recording in, even though we SEE them outside, etc.

Visually, one thing that REALLY threw me off was that we see the kid with the army helmet on the train (after he nails the guy in the groin with the gun), but then we cut to a quick clip of a kid waiting for the train to come to a stop, and he's wearing the SAME army helmet, but a different shirt ... not even sure who that kid was supposed to be, but the helmet threw me from cut to cut.

Nice work, especially if what Justin is saying above that you were a one man team on this ... SHEESH! :)

Norm - I was wondering if anyone would catch my 7 yo in two shots. In the end I left it in as I had already filmed three times at the rail station before I found that this was my only good shot of the train arriving. I decided that the kid at the station was the brother of the kid on the train..They were just coming home to meet.:Drogar-Happy(DBG):

I appreciate the ADR comments. I will do better next time. My first ADR attempt and I can see what I need to do better next time. With the volume of stuff I needed to dub, I couldn't go b ack and re-work it.

Actually, I appreciate them all. It seems like there is a bit of a tendancy on the board not to be too negative on things that just didn't work (I'm guilty of that some too). I've done a lot of writing and I've learned to take the good and the bad as long as they help me improve.

Thanks for the VFX comments. I liked how they turned out myself.

I'm really glad the twist worked for you. After watching it so many times and writing it, it's hard to tell if I sold it well enough!

And, yup I did it all from camera to directing to audio to fx to writing to editing...Whew is right!

Thanks for commenting!

Thanks. I worked hard on this. Glad you appreciated it. I assume you wanted to punch my 7 yo with the gun. If you've had a 7 yo boy, you'll know that it's pretty natural behaviour to swing a gun around in a crowd and whack folks with it. I liked my wife playing the oblivious parent.

This was a delight! I enjoyed every second. I love Agent Hanson's hat and dress, gives her a charming Ingrid Bergman look. The music was rather well done, complimented the visuals perfectly.

BTW nice credits, I believe it's the first time I saw a horizontal scroll like the one you used for yourself. Very clever.
