Through Time - Doctor Who parody

Check it out, my latest video I directed, shot and edited. Chris Bohlender (also on these forums) also helped me shoot, I'd say over half the video is him (he was on the long lenses, I was directing and shooting wide). We were on GH2's, and we used the Lumix 14-42, Olympus 45mm 1.8 and Olympus 75mm 1.8 and the Panasonic 25mm 1.4. Shot in one very long 18 hour day in 4 locations, the furthest 2 being 75 miles apart. I have to say, i was so distracted by how uncanny the doctors resemblance is to the current doctor.... I knew it wasn't him but had to freeze frame once in a while just to be certain lol.

Ha, more of a Tennant fan myself, but damn if you didn't find a very uncanny look alike of Smith.

I'll be honest, if you hadn't gotten as many closeups of his face, I'd think you had done some crazy manipulation of actual scenes from the show.
Some really solid shots in there- I just wish I enjoyed the girls singing as much as the video work. :/

We get that a lot, and the song doesn't help. I can't stand it (Good Time by Owl City and Carly Rae), it's simple, repetitive and awful, but the girls wanted to do it. They're actually really good singers (check out our Walk of Shame video) but they struggle with pop music. Dana (the blonde) has an opera background, give her an aria and she's amazing, and Ginny (the brunette) has a jazz background, but they're having a hard time applying their strengths to pop. After all the comments on vocals from this and Gryffindors they're going to start working with a pop-centered vocal coach, which I think should help.

But yeah, I was happy with how the video turned out, especially since we only had one day to shoot everything, and it's been received well by Doctor Who fans so far.:grin:

I don't see the problem. Isn't that what modern pop music is supposed to sound like? :-Laugh(DBG): (Sorry, couldn't help it.)

Seriously, though. Well done. Can never get enough of the Doctor. The vocals sounded fine to my uncritical ear. And the bow ties were a nice touch. Bow ties are cool.
