Depends on what you are shooting of course. One thing to keep in mind is that since this lens is claimed to focus to 10mm from the end of the barrel your DoF will be very shallow when you are all the way in. This would create some interesting effects for sure, but if you don't know that you really need such a lens you may first try buying a macro tube adapter and try it on all your existing lenses first. Since most adapter tubes will provide no auto focus of aperture control it's probably not a bad idea to buy a vintage prime as an alternate.

Here is a beautiful Olympus OM Zuiko 35mm f2.8 for $48.85. I have 2 copies of this lens and they really are sharp
