The client really blew it out on this one!

I just did the heli cam flying with the 5D in the mall, subway, etc .
The BTS was shot on the 7D too. The only shot not Canon was the Red on the skate ramp part.

Fun stuff.

Looking at this, I'm surprised the budget was as low as $1M, there's some really expensive stuff going on in that, not to mention permits, the sheer number of employees, the incredibly and profoundly expensive equipment, the actors, and whatnot. What's really shocking is that The Wrestler somehow cost $6M to make, yet production wise, I didn't even see one scene that looked as though more than $100,000 spent on the film itself. It makes me wonder what Hollywood films, even the independents, do with their money.

Most of the time when a budget is reported it is the total budget, not just the production/shooting budget. So in addition to all production costs (including paying a 20+ member union crew, which is the HUGE expense few "indie" filmmakers consider), those budgets usually include what's known as P&A, which is the advertising budget that is usually close to the cost of the shooting budget. Add on a couple recognizable (union!) actors, a big name (union!) DP and the (union!) crew that comes along with him, and you can start to see how something small like the Wrestler could have come out to 6 mil.

Awesome footage OP!

God I loved that! One of the best behind the scenes montage vids I've ever seen. I'm in love with their concept too. Is it possible to see the finished spot?

Welcome to the forum - that has to be one of the best first post / work sample threads ever!
