The Undead Nation

Re: The Undead

I wonder if we are able to find a balance to this? How can we meet in the middle on the design? Perhaps 'Modern Graphic Novel' style?

Re: The Undead

Just pics I had lying around. If I had any graphic design skills at all, this would be cooler.

Re: The Undead

John,
Will we have a way to keep everyone aware of eachother's storyline as to not do the same thing? That would suck if someone spent alot of time doing it then find out that someone has the same idea. This is going to be great.

Re: The Undead

Re: The Undead

i agree. thats why i think all scripts should go under good Mr. Hudson's retinas before any shooting.

Re: The Undead

Re: The Undead

I will look at scripts; but with emphasis on 'It is your film; your artistic vision'

The only input I will have is: IS THIS IN OUR WORLD?

If suddenly flying pigs are attacking.... Know what I mean? The freedom is up to the filmmaker as long as it stays within the boundaries of this created world. Tonight I should have some Basic Guidelines and rules up in relation to this world.

I am also considering having a 'forum' at Outland specifically for this vehicle. Unless, no one minds this turning into a 100 page thread at DVXuser.com ? I'm weary to have a forum though as I'm not a 'coder' and I spend my time here anyway. Perhaps once the site is up, there will be aforum for the fans and filmmakers?

Re: The Undead

Cool Kyle!  Welcome aboard!

Here are some backstory issues:

1. The onset of the Undead Apacolypse started with a massive amplification on a global scale.  The people barely had time to realize what a deadly disaster had come to them; the worlds governments handed out rules and guidleines on quarantines and procedure and took quick steps to contain the outbreak.

But the disease remained, and soon death was everywhere; walking and hell bent on attacking the living.  Fathers abandoned their sick sons. Lawyers refused to come and make out wills for the dying.  The churches were left to care for the sick and then the monasteries and convents were soon deserted, as they were stricken, too. Bodies were left in empty houses and later to get up again, and there was no
one to give them a Christian burial.

The disease struck and killed people with terrible speed.  It was said that people often "ate lunch with their friends and ate their friends for dinner."

Within a year, the disease had spread around the world where people referred to it as "The Walking Death".  A terrible killer had been unleashed and there was nothing anyone could do about it.

At the peak of the outbreak, International Census Figues had estimates at 8.8 deaths a second and the worlds population fell to about 1,593,199,435, a quarter of the estimated 6 and a half billion persons on the planet.  No one knows the numbers today.

Law enforcement, the worlds governments, radio and television networks and municiples are off the grid.  Survivors communicate sparsely by HAM Radio and that is rare. Urban Centers are the most feared with 'The Walking Dead' numbering over 5,000 per square mile.

2. Not much is known about the disease.  It is fairly certain to be spread through the exchange of bodily fluids although the initial amplification is thought to be an airborne virus.  Survivors are urged to stay away from 'The Walking Dead' at all costs but destroying the brain can 'kill' them.
