That is going to be cool. We might see some zombies in the snow up here.[/quote]

Yeah. Zombies in the snow. In the desert. in forests. by the beach. should be excellent.

Re: The Undead

These are interesting ideas. I've been looking into the ebola and other contaigious diseases and these diseases only seem to make the leap, say, from one species to man...

Filovirus - primates to man
Hantavirus - rodents to man
Hendra and Nipah viruses - horses, pigs to man

I'm leaning on the classic 'primate to man' infection. Again, I am not even sure if we want to EXPLAIN this. Something errily cool about NOT KNOWING but JUST IS.

In answer to your question (and yes, keep asking the questions as I am still ironing out everything!). The disease is unexplained on HOW it became but these creatures will go after animals as quick as they will humans.

I have always wanted something like this and the fact that there will be stories from all over the world is even cooler. Gives it a global feel. I'm leaning towards it having a 'Romeroesque' world with enhacment of the creatures in the vien of I AM LEGEND (Incidentally, the inspiration for Night of the Living Dead)

Frizzle Fry - Thanks for the heads up on this. All I know so far, is that I want a web page that pays a sort of homage to the EC comics feel. When people go there, it has to have a campy horror feel.

Re: The Undead

No way. Don't go there >:( :(

This is going to be an ongoing 'web-site' with 'on-going' serials.

Re: The Undead

Definitely looking forward to this :). It will be interesting to see everyones creativity! Everyone who participates will have their own unique twist on the standard world I think :).

I agree %100. Why was Michael Myers scary? Because we didn't really know anything about him. He just WAS.

Re: The Undead

You can have a story revolve around ANYTHING and ANY SITUATION. As long as the DEAD are cruising around.

Re: The Undead

Re: The Undead

So, make the page look like a comic book. Similar to the cover you displayed on the first post of this thread? I've got some ideas brewing.

Re: The Undead

I'll atke all ideas from all contibutors. I understand all to well that this is best served a s collaborative effort.

I was thinking this design type; outragous horror fonts and sensationalism.

Re: The Undead

I have to throw in my 2 cents to the pot, as I have always loved Zombie games, movies, etc since i was a young boy of 8 years old.

The Virus: History has shown that the very nature of "evil-ution" is to keep ahead of medicine and adapt to it's environment. So the idea would be that a specific virus or disease, develops, and is able to thrive in the brain. Thus effecting motor skills, judgment, thriving in different parts of the brain and feeding on it.

With my virus idea however, the hosts would eventually die

I have several ideas, I will make a script, see how it works out, mine will probably be featuring fresh zombies, as I'm not really a fan of vampires myself.

Re: The Undead

I have seen this; looks like an interesting entry into the genre.

In my world; I dont want any bullshit Matrix manuevers however. Gotta keep it plausible as in the 'What if..." scenario.

Monte

You dont have to use the second species at all; again, I am not sure if that is the ultimate route Im headed. Perhaps just classic dead.

Re: The Undead

Re: The Undead

I think it would be good to have a couple. It would give movie makers more freedom to get creative. :) Just my .02
