FEATURE: The Park - (comedy/mockumentary) - A Matt Sconce Film

View attachment 38814
We are almost done with production. We have two more days of production left out of a total of 32.
Director Matt Sconce is actually doing post and is ONE HOUR AND 14 MINUTES into the rough cut already.
We had issues with one of the stars having his day work schedule changed with no notice, and that ended up conflicting with another star's schedule where they could never be on set at the same time without some give. We would be done with production if not for this problem.
The Panasonic GH-2 camera with 14-140 f4 lens and the 20mm, 28mm, 50mm f1.4 Nikon lenses; the Zoom H4n for recording, and the Sennheiser 416 mic combination have been a joy to work with in this film. We are more than very pleased with their performance.
Production has gone well. We are very grateful to have had wonderful and dedicated actors on THE PARK project and have had talented help. Locations have been epic, and our B-roll has been really fun to shoot.
DVXUsers Troy Ruff (AD), Jason Miller (Grip, Boom), and Stan Harrington (Actor), have been so great. We cannot thank them enough!
We will be filming our huge bear and cougars next month for our Fuzzy Wuzzie bear and wild cougar shots.

We appreciate our friends on DVXUser for their patience with us in our lack of posts in this project. We have been so busy with distribution of STRICKEN, production of THE PARK, and preproduction of MAGIC that our heads are spinning. All the best to you! :Drogar-Happy(DBG):

Did your zoom have a mixer in front of it or was it straight to the Zoom? Were you happy with the audio you got? Thanks!

We went straight into the Zoom H4n and I have bee very happy with the audio quality. I will know more after hearing from our Sound editor.

Ah! Now I see. It's the post processing that makes it look like a painting or a still.

Will be interesting to see this in motion.

I didn't realize you guys jumped out and started already. Good job just getting to it!

The trailer definitely looks epic, guys. Wow, there's alot going on in here. You guys put in some work. The lead guy seems pretty funny. Congrats on a seriously professional and "epic" piece.

Thanks guys! Each character is SOOO funny in their own way. I cast specifically for the best actors I could find and, out of those actors, the best with comedic timing got the roles.

I made some minor text revisions that help establish the reason for all the people, and broaden the marketing ability of the trailer. Enjoy!

Just watched the trailer.

Looks like progress on production fronts for you guys.

On the overall trailer, though, I don't get the movie at all. There're so many tones and vibes going on, the music's making it seem like a super dramatic experience, but, there are gags and slight nudity, a bear.

I'm just on the outside glancin' in so I can only say that the trailer doesn't do much for me, personally, and looks like it needs a new pass to really drive home what the movie is about.

The bear stuff is pretty money!
