Just got mine in the mail from the Amazon seller Vanns. I'm so glad to finally have this lens and I got it for $389.00 with shipping. Perhaps stock is finally back to normal since everybody else seems to be following suit with the prices.
Firmware and Slower, Quieter Video Focus:
The 20mm is MUCH quieter in Video mode, but also quite a bit slower to focus.
Has anyone done a comparison with the old vs. new firmwares?
I believe it's the Camera Firmware v1.2 and newer and not the 20mm Lens Firmware that changed the focus speed/quiet.
Would be nice to have the option to choose Fast/Slow and Loud/Quiet.
Especially if using remote mics and not the built-in.
Or maybe not, it's pretty loud in Photo mode and noise may be picked up at a distance.

Anyone know if the 20mm/1.7 update @ Panasonic can be installed, regardless of whether it's used with a GH1 or GH2?
I would think it would, but just checking - the way they have it listed at the site, it has the "GH1" next to the H-H020 lens. That just may be the way they grouped it on the available updates list.
