The official "I got my AF100" thread

No camera yet, but today my Miller DS20 tripod, the 14-140mm lens, and a set of Zacuto rails/baseplate arrive.

Would you mind sharing which rails/baseplate you got? I've been comparing so many my head is spinning. Thanks!

And additional apologies to Barry...this thread left the reservation long ago.

ha! i know the feeling. I spent a week researching rails, plates, follow focuses, tripod heads, etc. made me crazy.

I bought the Zacuto Universal baseplate which comes with 12" rails, and a 10" extender to mount a shoulder pad i own on, as well as an external record/battery pack behind the camera.

AbelCineTech had the best price by $40. But you have to add it to the cart to see that special pricing.

If anybody wants an AF100, but didn't preorder, I know of a dealer who is getting cameras next week and a few may not be spoken for. PM me for more info.

Just got this from B&H this morning: "In stock, order sent to warehouse"

Im assuming it will ship Monday unless UPS is working today.

Same here; B&H order status says "order sent to warehouse."

Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!

Good shooting and best regards,

Leo

Wish I ordered from the states now ;) us Canadians probably have to wait another couple weeks, because we're always behind and I don't think panasonic Canada is too concerned about getting us our cameras fast.

Enjoy all your new cams! I hope to join you soon.

I picked up the same Zacuto baseplate v3 w/12" rods in excellent condition on eBay for $385. I ordered a Zacuto DSLR baseplate, 8" rods, and 3.5" rod extensions for my 7D by phone from B&H and all were less than their advertised price.
