The official "I got my AF100" thread

Abel-Cinetech just called to say our two AF100's are in! They are shipping from NY today, but I asked for 2-day air due to the Holidays.
 
I have no idea when I'm getting mine. Glazer's always gives me this non-committal answer about when my camera will arrive. Although, I might have to wait to actually use it. My Voigtlander doesn't arrive until next Wednedsay.
 
I bought from creativevideo before, they are ok! As I just saw all sold out....next delivery is end of January 2011
 
Just talked to a fairly rude and clearly unintelligent individual over at B&H who couldn't tell me anything except that my camera was expected to arrive on January 7th. Pretty PO'd with the lack of interest considering I have been purchasing gear almost exclusively through B&H for almost 10 years.

Thats just the way B&H is. I've only been on the phone with them twice and both times I get a NY taxi cab mentality. But, they deliver online like a dream. I've spent 10's of thousands of $'s with them. The only online camera store I trust...

We ordered one so we could do extensive testing with our nanoFlash.

Our's has arrived and is being shipped out to us today.
 
B&H has a lot of items in stock. That's the plus. I have a long history with them, but I must say my experience ordering the AF100 from them has given me pause, and I'm reviewing my options.

So with all of this, will anybody actually be able to get a test up in the next day or 2? Did lens mounts show up with your cameras?
 
my lens mount is already on its way. don't plan on doing any public tests though (I don't need that aggravation in my life), i'm going straight into a short with it.

Just some footage, no comparisons. Someone will put some up (that's not pre-production). Doesn't have to be you. :-) Good luck on your short.
 
Wont get mine til end of Jan unfortunately. But thats cool as I have a few weeks in tokyo shooting a couple of music vids. That should keep me adequately distracted til I return. I can get one in Japan while Im there, but Ive been arguing the whole buy local get your local warranty etc etc so that would be a bit hypocritical, so I'll wait.

I look forward to your feedback on this combo as this is what I intend to use if my af-100 ever comes in ;)

I talked to 3 different people at B&H yesterday in 3 different departments and they all seemed to be as nice and helpful as I could have asked for.
