The Odd Squad

The set up refers to the absolute black level. The rest of the world uses a setup of Zero (superblack) and North America NTSC uses 7.5 (black) The setup of 7.5 sometimes called "The Pedistal" and then can be manipulated via teh Master Ped or Master pedestal.

And what Jarred said is right -- the setup really ony applied to ananlog equipment and gets some extra play in at the dark end of the scale because its a cheat -- it boosts what's percieved as black. But shooting digital you should always use the full range which is a setup of 0.

So you can forget about the setup and what it means -- just set it to 0 then play with your Master Ped.

Thanks Jack. I'm pretty sure the default on the 100B is set to 0, so I should be fine.

If you are in the NYC area ...

"ODD Squad" will screen in the Falcon Film Fiesta at the East Village Pioneer Theater in Manhattan this Sunday at 6:30pm!

I think you can find all the info you need here:
http://shootingpeople.org/calendar/index.php?mode=detail&event=3033&day=2006-07-09&event_type=single

It's 9$/adults & $6.50 for students & Seniors. There's about an hour and twenty minutes of programming over 8 shorts. ODD Squad will screen in the 1st half hour. And again, it all starts at 6:30.

No plans for drinks or whatnot before or after yet but message me if you are interested. (really ... anyone .... anyone ... Beuller?)

And I know everyone always says this but it's true - space is limited and this thing always sells out ... So follow the link above to get your tickets beforehand.

Hope to see some of the NY/NJ DVXusers there.

Best,

Jack

That would be awesome, I wish I was on your side of the country Sunday. Good luck on the screening
