Damn, pretty impressive offering from Canon. I'm a little sulky that my 6 month old C300 Mark II is looking a little pale in comparison. I'm hoping Canon will roll some of the codecs/features upward into the C300ii/C700, like the lightraw codec and the low bitrate 4K codec. Would love to see if it could support raw stills instead of the 1080p jpegs available in C300ii.

Haven't seen any word on its supported colour gamuts yet but if the C200 can match the C300ii in cLog3/Cinema Gamut, I'll sell my 1DXii immediately.

The mention that RAW is 15stops and Clog1/3 is 13stops is a little puzzling... Anyone know what that's about? If it's the C700/C300II sensor why would it only be 13stops? Is this just a Clog1/3 vs Clog2/RAW thing and standard?

No XF-AVC until Q1 2018 is disappointing. A 256 GB CFast 2.0 card for $679.00 is going to net you 30 minutes of 4K RAW Light. I don't think I will be shooting much RAW since I shoot a lot of long interviews, often 6-10, 20-60 minute interviews in one day. If the camera was XF-AVC ready at launch, I would highly applaud the inclusion of RAW Light but if the camera is available in July, that will mean 6-9 months of really only shooting mostly .MP4 at 100-150 Mbps. Passable but not ideal. Finally a touch screen for DPAF or for manually placing MF indicators, cool stuff. 4" screen looks very flexible as to where it can be located. A price of around U.S. $9,000.00 I feel is a fair, not typically overinflated Canon price, impressive. I don't know where this camera leaves the C300 MKII, cannot see what it offers over the C200 beyond a few features if you shoot multicam.

Interesting move Canon. I think this camera will be a market changer.

Even DLD is going to get this camera...lol

If I do buy it, I'll have Doc Emrick announce it - "DLD pulls one on Norbert. Norbert spins. Grabs air. The camera is out of reach. Pure Drifting tries to poke it away. Gets shouldered off by DLD, who also swears at him in Russian. Pure Drifting pulls out a dictionary. It's Bulgarian-to-English. No good. DLD scoooooooorrres."

C700 can do 4.5K Raw. I doubt C200 can.

Still, it's a major release. If it's around 7,000€, it should be closer to U$7,000.

The C200 samples that are in the Pro AV YouTube clip I posted were shot in C-Log 3
